Template — review before launch.
This Privacy Policy is a template provided for convenience and must be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before launch. Placeholders in [brackets] still need completing — including [Taskr legal entity name], [business address], [ABN / company number] and the effective [DATE].
This Privacy Policy explains how [Taskr legal entity name] (“Taskr”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information when you use the Taskr application, website and related services (the “Service”). Taskr is an AI-native field-service CRM that helps trade and field-service businesses manage jobs, scheduling, quoting and invoicing. By using the Service you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1.Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly, information generated as you use the Service, and information from the third-party providers that help us operate Taskr.
- Account & business information — your name, email address, phone number, business name, role, team members and similar details used to create and manage your account.
- Customer & job data you enter — the client contacts, addresses, job details, schedules, quotes, invoices, notes and other records you and your team add to the Service.
- Payment information — billing details processed securely by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers on our own systems.
- Usage data — device and log information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, features used and timestamps, used to operate, secure and improve the Service.
- Voice recordings — when you use voice dictation, the audio you record is captured and transcribed to text so you can create quotes, notes and other content hands-free.
- Uploaded photos and files — images and documents you attach to jobs, quotes or customer records.
2.How we use your information
We use the information described above to:
- Provide, maintain and operate the Service, including jobs, scheduling, quoting and invoicing.
- Power Taskr's AI features, such as voice dictation, quote drafting and assistant capabilities.
- Process subscriptions, payments and billing.
- Communicate with you about your account, support requests, security and product updates.
- Monitor, secure, troubleshoot and improve the Service.
- Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3.Third-party sub-processors
We rely on a small number of trusted third-party providers to deliver the Service. These sub-processors only receive the information needed to perform their function, and are bound by their own terms and data-protection commitments:
- Google Firebase / Google Cloud — application hosting, database storage and authentication.
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
- Anthropic (Claude) — powers Taskr AI. When you use AI features, the relevant customer prompts and data are sent to Anthropic so it can generate a response. Anthropic processes this data to provide the AI features and does not use it to train its models.
- Deepgram — speech-to-text transcription for voice dictation; voice recordings are sent to Deepgram to convert your speech into text.
We will update this list as our providers change. Some of these providers process data outside your country — see International data transfers below.
4.Cookies & local storage
We use cookies, local storage and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences (such as light/dark mode), secure the Service and understand how it is used. Essential cookies are required for the Service to function; you can control non-essential storage through your browser settings, though some features may not work without them.
Advertising, analytics and tracking technologies. We use cookies, pixels and similar technologies on taskrapp.ai and app.taskrapp.ai to measure the performance of our advertising and to understand how visitors use our sites.
Meta (Facebook/Instagram).We use the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API, operated by Meta Platforms, Inc. These collect information about your visit (such as pages viewed, sign-up and checkout actions, your IP address, browser information, and Meta cookie identifiers such as _fbp and _fbc) and, where you create an account, a hashed (irreversibly encoded) version of your email address. This information is disclosed to Meta to measure ad performance, match conversions to Meta ads, and build advertising audiences. See Meta’s Privacy Policy (facebook.com/privacy/policy) and manage your Meta ad preferences at facebook.com/adpreferences.
TikTok.We use the TikTok Pixel and TikTok Events API, operated by TikTok Pte. Ltd. These collect similar visit and event information (including the ttclid click identifier and hashed contact details) and disclose it to TikTok for ad measurement and audience building. See TikTok’s Privacy Policy (tiktok.com/legal/privacy-policy) and manage your TikTok ad settings in the TikTok app under Settings → Ads.
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) to analyse site and app usage, including via the Google Analytics Measurement Protocol for server-side events. You can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) and manage Google ad settings at adssettings.google.com.
Advertising identifiers and click IDs. When you arrive from an ad, we may capture click identifiers (fbclid, ttclid, gclid) and associated cookies and store them against your account so we can attribute your sign-up and any subsequent purchase to the ad that referred you.
Your choices. You can control cookies through your browser settings, opt out of interest-based advertising via the platform links above, or generally at optout.aboutads.info. Blocking these technologies does not affect your ability to use Taskr. Some of the providers above store information outside Australia (including in the United States).
5.Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. You can request deletion of your data as described in Your rights below.
6.Security
We use technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls and trusted infrastructure providers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and to notify you of significant incidents where required by law.
7.International data transfers
Taskr and our sub-processors may store and process information in countries other than the one in which you are located, including the United States. Where we transfer personal information across borders, we take steps to ensure it is protected in line with this policy and applicable law, including appropriate contractual safeguards.
8.Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, update, export or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. These rights may be available under the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the Australian Privacy Act. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. We do not sell your personal information.
Where you provide us with customer or job data, you are generally the controller of that data and we act as a processor on your behalf — please direct any individual’s requests about that data to you in the first instance.
9.Children’s data
The Service is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
10.Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
