Xero for Tradies: Sync Invoices, Payments and Receipts Automatically

Your accountant doesn't want your shoebox of receipts, and you don't want to spend Sunday retyping invoices into Xero. A proper integration means the books keep themselves while you're on the tools.

What should sync automatically

Three things: invoices (pushed to Xero the moment you send them, with correct GST treatment), payments (when an invoice is paid in Xero or online, both systems agree without double-entry), and supplier receipts (pushed as bills with the receipt photo attached, so every expense is documented for tax time).

The receipt photo matters more than you think

The ATO expects records to back your claims. When Taskr pushes a scanned receipt to Xero as a bill, the original photo is attached to the transaction — so at tax time your accountant has the evidence attached to the entry, not lost in a glovebox. GST on expenses is captured line-by-line, which typically pays for the software by itself.
